Be Good to Me, Please. 对……好 / 不好

We have actually seen several variations on this grammar form already, however, since we are learning about the body and sports this week, there has never been a better time to actually talk about it. 

At it's root, the structure looks like this:

A B + [好 / 不好].

A == the thing causing an effect

B == the thing receiving the effect

The A here can be any number of verbs or nouns, things from "running" --> "the coffee my dad makes in the morning".  It is really loose.  B, however, will almost always be a noun.  

This is actually a super straight forward concept; let's look at some examples to make it more concrete.

A 对 B + [好 / 不好].

EM de lǎoshī duì xuéshēng yīzhí dōu hěn hǎo. ——> Teachers in EM towards/for xuéshēng is always good.

学生一直都很好。
Wǒ juédé zuò yújiā duì wǒ de shēntǐ hǎo. ——> I think doing yoga towards/for my body is good.
我觉得做瑜伽我的身体好。
Yǒurén juédé lěng de tiānqì duì nǐ de tóufǎ bù hǎo. Nǐ tóngyì ma? ——> Someone thinks that cold weather towards/for your hair is not good. Do you agree?
有人觉得冷的天气你的头发不好。你同意吗?
Měitiān shuì bā gè xiǎoshí duì wǒ de shēntǐ fēicháng hǎo. ——> Sleeping 8 hours every day towards/for my body/health is very good.
每天睡八个小时我的身体非常好。

A more organic way to translate each of these sentences is:  A is good/bad for B.   As you can see, though the structure is a teeny bit different, it still makes a ton of sense and is very similar to English.

Now your excuse arsenal just got WAY stronger: 

"Why don't you want to date me?
"Well, dating is bad for my mood."
