Using 跟a比,B... To Compare

In Q1,we have learned how to compare using A 比/没 B + adj. But sometimes we found it's not that useful. Here are more ways of comparing A and B.

跟/和 A B 比较/更 + adj/modal verb
Compared with A, B is relatively/more adj

Gēn zhāng jīnglǐ , wáng jīnglǐ bǐjiào yángé.
张经理,王经理比较严格

Compared with manager Zhang, manager Wang is relatively strict. 

qù xīyǎtú , wǒ gèng xiǎng qù bō tè lán gōngzuò.
去西雅图想去波特兰工作。

Compared with going to Seattle, I want to go to Portland to work more.

跟/和 A B verb de 比较/更 + adj
Compared with A, B do action relatively/more adj

Gēn zhāng jīnglǐ, wáng jīnglǐ xiě bàogào xiě de bǐjiào kuài.
张经理王经理写报告写得比较

Compared with manager Zhang, manager Wang write reports relatively faster.

qùnián bǐ, wǒ jīnnián chànggē chàng dé gèng hǎotīng le.
去年,我今年唱歌唱得好听了。

Compared with last year, I sing better this year.
